OK I'm feeling somewhat spacey today, although I did give mummy a wake-up call at 9am this morning - which is rather early for me since I generally sleep till around midday...sometimes even as late as 2pm! Ah, such a hard life you know....but someone has to do it. Anyway, mummy seemed less than thrilled to be woken - since she's not a morning person - but I was laying in a pool of pee pee and it wasn't very comfortable, you know. I mean what does one expect? I'm imprisoned all night in a "cell" (of sorts) from which I can't escape so is it any wonder I pee? But then, I could have swum the English Channel with the amount I deposited on my bed this morning....might it have something to do with that little purple pill mummy snuck into my dinner last night? Hmmmm....I wonder. It all began with yesterday's trip to the vet....
I was pretty zonked out after dinner last night and slept for a couple of hours or so. I woke up a couple of times to announce a pee pee, which mummy kindly took notice of. Gee, I feel like a bit like a water fountain you know? Forever peeing! But I am sooooo thirsty ever since mummy took me to Aunty Bernice's yesterday - and I didn't even get any liver treats for the trouble! Hmmph! My mouth is somewhat dry and I just need to drink and drink. And to drink and drink means to pee and pee....which for mummy, means more washing. But still, I was too weary to complain much and just drifted back off to the land of chasing butterflies and bees....and where ALL my legs worked. Mummy likes quiet at night because she is busy and stays up late on the computer, so she turned out the lights in my room so I could rest. My third wake-up for the toilet I was beginning to feel a second wind, which mummy must have sensed because she dished me up a late night snack with the other half of that little purple pill....and that was it. Nigh nighs for Shebee.
I don't know how long I slept but I didn't wake mummy at the usual 2am or 3am or 4am. Instead I slept right though till 9am....which is still too early for mummy, but I was ready for "up"! The sun is shining, the birds are singing and the day is young - which is more than I could say for myself, but one can dream! Plus I was drenched in a night's worth of pee-pee because I was too zoned out to wake up. MUMMMMYYYY!!! Time for UP!! She came out looking as bad as I felt last night after the purple pill, depositing me on the "day bed" and stripping my cot. She gave me my bone to munch on, threw my sheets in the laundry, shut the door and went back to bed. I lay there to my own devices for I don't know how long. I chewed my bone for a bit but got thirsty. My water bowl was there but just....slightly....out....of....reach! Time for mum's assistance again. BARK BARK BARK!!! No response. Hmm...I may have to try to reach it myself....if....I....can....just....drag....myself a little further then....I....can....reach....it. Oops!! Now that wasn't suppose to happen! Now how am I going to get myself back up?? MUMMMMMMYYYY, I'M STUCK ON MY BACK AND I CAN'T GET BACK UP THE RIGHT WAY!!!! HELP ME!!! I don't know how long I barked for, but it was very exhausting, and mummy did eventually come and rescue me, but I was exhausted. Time for another nap.
When I wake up....Nanny and Poppy were here. Mummy gave me my bone again which I chomped on for a bit. When I stopped and looked around, mummy, Nanny and Poppy were gone. Where they go? Mummy's Avon trolley was gone too. Maybe they went for walkies....without me? Oh, hang on, I can't walk can I? But they could carry me. That sounds like a plan. Oh the very thought of walkies is tiring....I think I need another nap....
So I woke up again and it's dark. Wait...what time is it? Mummy? Ah, there she is. It's dinner time, mum. She tells me I'm out of my sheets for my bed (where she usually feeds me) and I will have to wait till the dryer has finished with them. She can't feed me on my day bed because I always knock my dish over sending bikkies all over the floor, so she says she'll have to make up the portacot for me instead. I don't care - as long as I get dinner! Off she goes to make it, deposits me in and then abandons me.....but wait! She returns some moments later with my dinner. Geez, mum you're a champ! Mmmmm....this is delicious! I love chicken, and gravy. But, I'm feeling very sleepy again....mum? Did you put another of those little purple pills in there again? Oh well, I'll just rest my eyes for a bit.....
I can hear drums out the back....but I don't care.....time for a nap......I'm so.....tired..... Mummy, wake me for my snack. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....
